What is Champswood?
Champswood is the Dimock Family’s private retreat. Established in 2016, it is largely wooded land in Chautauqua County with an acre pond. It currently hosts two heated and cooled cabins, an RV, and a kennel with a run for dogs. It has a small barn as well. Hiking trails weave throughout the wooded areas.
Champswood is full of wildlife, and on any given day (or night) you may see pheasant, hawks, great blue herons, Canadian geese, wood ducks, deer, coyote, fisher cats, wood chucks, raccoons, black bear, dozens of species of frogs and snakes, and many other types of animals native to the southwestern section of New York State.
